What is Battery?

A battery is a device that uses an electrochemical oxidation-reduction (redox) cycle to convert chemical energy stored in its active components directly into electric energy. Electrons are transferred from one material to another via an electric circuit in this type of reaction.

An electric battery is a power source for electrical equipment that consists of one or more electrochemical cells with external connections. Batteries exist in a variety of shapes and sizes, ranging from tiny cells that power hearing aids and wristwatches to massive battery banks the size of rooms that provide standby or emergency power for telephone exchanges and data centers.

What is Battery scraps?

Batteries are made out of a range of elements that can be recycled as secondary raw materials. Most lead, nickel-cadmium, nickel hydride, and mercury batteries can be recycled using well-established technologies and techniques. Recycling solutions are still in the early phases for some systems, such as newer nickel-hydride and lithium systems. There are various battery recycling methods that try to recover a variety of materials.

How do we process Battery scraps?

Because each battery has a varied chemical makeup, there are many methods for recycling and proper disposal. We will recycle the majority of battery types, and if the battery is not recyclable, we will dispose of it safely.

With a gas-fired thermal oxidizer, flammable materials such as plastics and insulation are removed from the recycling process. The thermal oxidizer’s gases are routed to the plant’s scrubber, where they are neutralized and contaminants are removed. The procedure results in clean, bare cells containing valuable metal content.
